Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP NOTIFICATION

To Whom It May Concern:

The Eastern New Mexico Bluegrass and Old Tyme Mucic Association offers a scholarshop in the amount of $250.00. This scholarship will be offered once a year or once every semester dependant upon funds. This scholarship is for individuals that are planning to work towards a music degree or are actively working towards such a degree. The person must be either enrolled or in the process of enrolling at a accredited college or university. Preference will be given to those who are pursuing a degree in either country or bluegrass music.

The requirements are:
1. The applicant must be a resident of Quay County, New Mexico and interested in music as a career or hobby.
2. Applicant must be enrolled in a music class.
3. Interested applicants must send a typed letter to: ENMB and OTMA, P.O. Box 129, Tucumcari, NM 88401, asking for consideration for the scholarship and explaining their music intent and why the scholarship would benefit him or her.
4. Must provide transcript.
5. Scholarship request must be received by April 1st for Fall Semester, and October 31st for Spring Semester. Applicant must apply each new semester.
6. Must have the college or school send letter of enrollment from their institution.

Upon receiving requests for consideration for our scholarship, the club will convene a meeting to screen all applicants and choose most eligible applicant. The scholarship will be awarded in a timely manner after receiving proof of enrollment at an institution teaching music. Scholarship will be given directly to chosen applicant.
